Your memories are personal. This Privacy Policy explains how Aeternus collects, uses, and protects your information.
We collect the information you provide when you create an account — your name, email, and any memories, videos, writings, or photos you choose to save. We also collect basic usage data needed to operate the service.
We use your information to provide the service: storing your memories, delivering time capsules to the recipients you choose, sending reminders you request, and improving your experience. We never sell your data.
When you use our AI voice cloning or visual avatar features, you provide biometric data — specifically, voice recordings and a facial photograph. We process this data as follows:
Your memories are private by default. Nothing is shared unless you explicitly choose to share it — through a share link, a time capsule, or by granting access to a legacy contact. Recipients only receive what you designate.
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including secure storage and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
You can access, edit, or delete your memories at any time. You may also request deletion of your account. Once you delete content, it is removed according to our retention policy.
Aeternus is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email.
